Dubai’s numerous shopping centres cater for every consumer’s needs. Cars, clothing, jewellery, electronics, furnishing, sporting equipment and any other goods will all be likely to be found under the same roof.

The Dubai Mall is famed to be one of the largest malls in the world which incorporates 1,200 shops within itself. The mall is a full-on family entertainment centre with a lavish hotel and with 22 cinema screens. Spread across the area of 12.1 million sq. ft is an ideal place for shopaholic featuring over 1000 retail shops, over 200 Gold Souk, 2 department stores and many food & beverage outlets.The famous mall also includes an Ice Rink, an aquarium and underwater zoo, which has 10 million litres of water.

Situated on Sheikh Zayed road the Mall of the Emirates was launched in November 2005. The mall has a total of 630 retail shops, over 100 restaurants & cafes, 7900 parking spaces, 80 luxury stores and much more in its total area of 255,489 sq. metres. The Emirates mall has a large indoor skiing facility called Ski Dubai offering snowboarding, children’s play area anda cafe. It regularly organizes family leisure activities and sporting events to entertain the visitors.

Mercato Mall mimics the sights and feel of a Renaissance-era Italian village. Shoppers can choose from international retailers such as Laura Ashley and Jack Wills as well as plenty of bakeries like Cakery Epicerie by Stephane Glacier, a favourite with locals for a quick pick-me-up and Alison Nelson’s Chocolate Bar for the city’s creamiest hot chocolate.

Ibn Battuta Mall gets its name from the explorer, and the mall’s six courts source design inspiration from Andalusia, Tunisia, Egypt, Persia, India and China, the regions in which he travelled. The decor in the mall includes elaborate tiling, a gigantic golden elephant, a high ceiling painted to resemble blue skies, and lush outdoor tea gardens. Interior design aside, Ibn Battuta Mall is a treasure trove of fashion, lifestyle and sporting shops with regular in-store promotions and celebrations.

Sitting on the shores of the marina, Dubai Marina Mall offers a casual family shopping experience. It houses a variety of international retailers with an emphasis on affordable high-street fashion and beauty services in a relaxed atmosphere. Wander next door to the attached Pier 7, which offers seven exciting dining concepts, each with breezy terrace seating.

It might be a bit of a drive from Dubai proper, but  Dubai Outlet Mall is worth the trip for any dedicated bargain hunter. Here, sales run year-round, with plenty to be found from designer labels such as Diane von Furstenberg, Burberry and Marc Jacobs, as well as electronics and perfumes. Visit on a Monday and be rewarded with further discounts of up to 50 percent at selected stores.

Located at Al Sabkha Road, Deira, this is a very impressive historic market containing hundreds of shops offering all kinds of jewellery. There are many stunning items such as pearl necklaces, diamond rings and gold bangles to choose from. It is the largest gold market in Dubai located at the mouth of the Creek and is a must see for tourists.

Al Ghurair City -Al Ghurair City

Located in Deira, this shopping centre caters for those especially seeking traditional Emirati clothes. It is the oldest mall in Dubai. Here, many shops offer stylish abayas and shaylas and Arabic jewellery and rugs. This shopping centre also includes well-known outlets such as Paris Gallery and Nine West.

Situated just south of the Creek in Dubai, this mall mostly focuses on luxury brands, jewellery and expensive boutiques such as Chanel and Givenchy The Egyptian themed architecture in the new wing includes beautifully stained-glass pyramids which are worth seeing. A luxury spa is also attached to the complex, as well as many bars which are licensed.

At interchange 4 on the Sheikh Zayed Road, this Arabian designed centre contains over 30 retailers, and over 100 manufacturers willing to negotiate good deals on gold and diamond jewels.
