It’s still considered the pinnacle of the Wild Wadi waterpark – the awesome Jumeirah Sceirah. Scale the 32 metre tower, step into one of the two ‘capsules’ and await the moment when the floor beneath you disappears and you plummet down the 120 metre slide at 80 km/h. If you’re not brave enough then, no fear, there are 30 rides and attractions all guaranteed to get your heart pounding. Guests must be 1.1m high to ride many of the park’s attractions.

Revenge Is All Your’s

Deep within the Tower of Poseidon at Atlantis’ Aquaventure waterpark, you’ll be looping the loop down the 166 metre Poseidon’s Revenge. With two slides side by side, why not race your family members to the bottom – the clock will record your speed. Then, staying in the Tower, the whole family can come together in one raft and whizz through the belly of the Aquaconda. This giant sea serpent of a slide is the largest waterslide in the world. But watch out – the serpent will swallow you at 35km/h before spitting you out

Play With Dolphins

Who wouldn’t want to play with the most adorable and playful creatures of the sea? At Atlantis The Palm’s Dolphin Bay, all the family – no matter their age or swimming ability – can stand nose-to-nose with a dolphin in what is one of the most sophisticated dolphin habitats in the world. Whether you choose to swim with them or opt for the signature belly ride, this is an experience of a lifetime.

Jump To It

How high can you go? Find out in Dubai’s rampoline parks – Flip Out, Bounce and Jump Boxx. Perform your tucks, your splits and tumble turns in the air as you leap across the field of trampolines. Spring in time to the music, play dodgeball and land on the giant inflatable airbags. No matter your age you’ll be on a high.

Fly High Ever

wondered what it felt like to be a bird? Well wonder no more and visit iFly Dubai, the world’s first-ever double and vertical wind tunnel at Mirdif City Centre mall. It’s Snowing!

It never ceases to amaze people, but see it (and ski it) for yourself – a snowy mountain in the desert! After a morning on the beach, escape the sun and swap your flip flops for ski boots at Ski Dubai within Mall of the Emirates, Dubai’s award-winning shopping mall. Here you’ll discover a snowy mountain resort with a five ski runs, tube slides, toboggan runs, a colony of Snow Penguins, a zip line and the obligatory alpine café – ideal for sipping hot chocolate in minus four degrees.

Put your foot down

Experience the thrill of burning rubber, speeding steel and roaring engines at the spectacular Dubai Autodrome. Seven-year-olds and up can hop in a Honda 390cc kart to discover the thrill of racing around in the 1.2km kartdome track with its 17 challenging corners. Each lap is timed so you’re left in no doubt who’s the winner.

Ride the desert dunes

Strap yourself into your four-by-four and set off on a rollercoaster ride across the desert. Feel your stomach turn as you bump and slide up and down the waves of sand dunes in this exhilarating ride. Dune bashing is not for the faint hearted – it’s fast, furious and thrilling. The drivers know the desert like the back of their hands and – importantly – they know how to drive it. Desert safaris are offered by numerous tour operators across the city.

Swim with sharks

You only have to be eight years old to come face to face with the world’s ultimate predator. Sharks await in The Dubai Mall’s 10-million-litre Dubai Aquarium. Either opt for the cage snorkeling experience or, certified divers can dive to the depths with the largest collection of Sand Tiger sharks in the world.
